Following the recruitment of a new Director of Procurement, a procurement strategy was developed and a requirement to hire four category managers was identified.
Bennell Associates put together a programme to identify and attract individuals to the business during a “PR storm” and in a toughening candidate market. The client was encouraged to be open in terms of candidate experience and focus on behaviours and potential as opposed to specific technical backgrounds. As a result, in a difficult London market, the client successfully recruited individuals with direct category experience gained in manufacturing into indirect spend categories.
